HEADLINES: The Christian Comedian formerly known as "Chocolate" now goes by her birth name "Chinnitta Morris". But why you ask...because the Lord said so. In 2004 God began to deal with Chinnitta about a name change and she took her time about it because she thought maybe it was something she was dealing with in her flesh secretly wanting to change her name. Although it became burdensome to her about changing her name she didn't act upon it until it was prophesied to her during a womens conference and the woman simply whispered in her ear "Chinnitta Morris there has been a name change". She knew it was God confirming what she had been dealing with. Not really understanding why the name change and some of the disappointments it would cause, she knew that obedience was not an option and to just trust the Lord through it all remembering the scripture 2 Corinthians 5:17; Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. To God be the Glory!

Later that same year, Chinnitta Morris would be challenged with another move of God upon her life. While enjoying the ministry of Christian Comedy God had called her to, and the excitement she experienced while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through comedy, Chinnitta found a contentment in her gift that she had never experienced before. But now, God would call her to a higher level of ministry. Not really wanting that charge along with the fact that she was quite satisfied with sharing the Gospel through comedy, Chinnitta tried to wait it out and thought it would go away, thinking maybe this time it wasn't God. But it was and there was no denying it, especially with others noticing it on her and telling her of her calling to the ministry. Still she waited for something miraculous to happen (go figure)! Nothing miraculous came but after a while she became so frustrated in her spirit and her peace was so utterly disturbed it was hard for her to function. She knew God was speaking to her and she knew she was out of His will because she had not accepted the call. She knew that her peace would not be restored until she did. With a bowed down heart and tears in her eyes she did. Please understand that she understood the depth of sin she'd come from and now here was God counting her faithful and calling her into the ministry. And with every excuse she could come up with to say that He could not be calling her into the ministry...God would lead her to Jeremiah 1:5-10. With her heart humbled, Chinnitta accepted her call into the ministry and was licensed to preach on August 28th 2005 by Pastor Darryl Arnold at Overcoming Believers Church in Knoxville, TN. To God be the Glory!

January 11, 2007: Chinnitta was awarded the "Sister Canteloupe" award at the annual "Christian Comedian Conference" in Nashville, TN by the Official Christian Comedian Association.

In 2005, Chinnitta recieved the award for the "Female Christian Comedian of the year" by the Urban Gospel Alliance (UGA).

In 2004, Chinnitta was featured at the "Megafest Comedy event" with Steve Harvey and Sinbad.

She presently sits on the advisory board for the "Dr. Jones Gospel Artist retreat".
